Our Vote, Stronger Together!
Our Asian Americans and Pacific Islander voices and concerns are important when it comes to shaping democracy, rights, and freedom wherever we live. Our families and our people have long fought for our self-determination whether in the US or in our native countries. We are informed about this through the political stories and knowledge of our elders, and the current political struggles and actions of our young people.
AAPI’s make up 3.1% of the eligible voter population in MN. However, we only account for 1.9% of all active registered voters and 1.6% of the vote share. This means that more work needs to be done for our AAPI community to reach parity. Our work continues to grow and challenge the perpetual narrative of our community.
